Our Commitment

Kitchen Haus Group : F&B Re-imagined

At the heart of Kitchen Haus Group is the dream of our founders, an intrepid husband & wife team who took a leap of faith to operate a single company canteen in 1980. Despite having no prior experience, they delighted stakeholders with quality food, integrity and excellent service. In the ensuing years, our trailblazing founders expanded into operating 30 canteens islandwide, and forged a family of F&B businesses across catering categories and the value chain.

Today, Kitchen Haus Group unites and directs this ever-growing portfolio of brands. We take pride in defying perceptions of what a traditional brick-and-mortar F&B business should be. We’re always innovating, adopting new technology, pivoting to meet new market needs and embracing sustainability – all while maintaining profitability, growth and a sense of family.

Our business has evolved since 1980, but our heart remains the same: We will always strive to be an F&B leader in Singapore and the region, offering a wide range of high-quality food solutions, powered by impeccable service, sustainability and integrity.

Our Journey

Heritage Brand Team Catering is Born

In a humble 1,000sqft  MUIS Halal-Certified unit at Shimei East Kitchen, Team Catering was born. From the very beginning our founders insisted on offering the best quality food and services, a fundamental value which remains until today. Since then, we have invested in a enlarged kitchen with modern facilities.

Team approaches each customer with utmost honesty and personalised service, traits which have won over many long-time clients who continually return because they know that Team delivers, without fail.

Our Journey

Investing and Scaling Up

To serve larger scale events and even bigger clients, we invested in a new 3,000sqft MUIS Halal-Certified central kitchen and achieved ISO 22000 hygiene certification. Our bigger kitchen space, firm focus on food safety and robust internal operating procedures enabled us to cater for countless major Singapore events - all with tip-top precision and accuracy.

Our personal record? A 3,000-pax event where we supplied 6,000 bentos!

Le Rainbow, the Premium Halal Caterer, is Born

Recognising the market gap for delectable, high-end yet affordable catering services, we established Le Rainbow Catering. Le Rainbow strives to be a top Halal caterer in Singapore, serving a mix of locally-inspired Western & Fusion cuisine.

From intricately designed canapes to large-scale bento boxes, for occasions ranging from upscale weddings to receptions on the Istana lawn, Le Rainbow offers a one-stop catering solution powered by ingenuity, innovation and meticulous approaches to food and service. Our MUIS Halal-Certified central kitchen is equipped with the latest equipment and facilities so that we can support for your next event, while maintaining strict hygiene standards.

Expanding Leadership in Institutional Catering with Le Essen

Le Essen was established to focus on corporate institutional catering, leveraging our founders’ decades-long experience operating 30 canteens for leading corporations islandwide.

We offer a comprehensive, one-stop service for our clients, ranging from off-site catering support from our Halal catering brands, to full scale F&B consultancy services. With the trust we have built, today we can boast of a client list that includes Fortune 500 companies and major local enterprises with significant headcount in Singapore. More valued customers continue to place their trust with us - most notably a 1,500pax corporate giant which we started journeying with in late 2020.

Sustainability remains our key focus and we incorporate many initiatives for our clients to make the world a better place.

Enhancing Operational Excellence with Levender Gourmet

To better support our growing stable of F&B services, we established Levender Gourmet to optimise and streamline operations. Levender comprises a modern SFA manufacturing plant that processes raw ingredients and hot food for our entities, using the latest industrial kitchen technologies like automated cookers, commercial tilting pans, Granuldisk dishwashing machines, commercial vacuum sealers, blast freezers and conveyor belt imprint solutions.

Paired with optimised manpower deployment, Levender Gourmet boosts our operational excellence and staff welfare, giving us freedom to keep creating new brands and concepts to delight customers.

Levender Gourmet is also a full-fledged MUIS Halal-Certified caterer which offers healthy dining with a refreshing twist.

Our Journey

Succeeding Against the Odds, Poised For the Future

A pandemic year could have sunk any business, but Kitchen Haus Group defied all odds. We quickly pivoted and launched a wave of innovative brands, the first steps in our journey to define and execute an exciting vision for post-COVID F&B:

  • Gourmet Xpress - A virtual brand with a cloud kitchen concept, focused on Ready-to-Eat and Ready-to-Cook meals. We acquired vast expertise in Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine from serving the dormitory community during lockdown, which we’ve channelled into creating a range of mouth-watering, authentic fare for all.
  • Sugared Bakes - A proudly local home-baker turned commercial patisserie, serving decadent and bespoke cakes and cupcakes. Sugared is ready for the future, with Halal Certification ongoing and plans to enter the B2B market.
  • La Petite - A cosy French bistro and our first venture into F&B retail. Founded by a Singapore-based French chef, this homey restaurant has served up fine authentic cuisine ranging from succulent duck confit to rich pan-fried foie gras for over a decade.

Diversifying and adapting with the changing economy

As the world navigates through the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our company has remained steadfast in our commitment to serving our customers and communities. We are proud to have been able to continue building our brands and expanding our company throughout this difficult time.

- Frux Earth - One of our newest brands, with the focus on Urban Farming using high technology Aquaponics system to grow fresh produce locally. We aim to contribute to Singapore's 30 by 30 goal which is to produce 30% of our nutritional needs locally by 2030.

- Sugared Bakes - Our pandemic-born brand, now expanded into a 2000 sqft central kitchen space, with Halal Certification attained and presence in the B2B market doing OEM partnerships and looking to increase B2C exposure in the near future.

- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) - An integral part of our business strategy. We have been actively taking time to give back to the society and will continue to do so by focusing more on CSR initiatives that align with our values and mission.

We are proud to announce that our company has been recognised in the news media for our efforts in providing bento meals to foreign worker dormitories during the peak of the pandemic. FHA HoReCa Guest Speaker

This was an industry seminar session held during Food & Hotel Asia (FHA) HoReCa where 4 industry professionals were invited to share their views on Balancing Cuisine with Technology. Patrick, CEO of Kitchen Haus Group, was one of the esteemed speakers. During the session, they shared their views on how technology has supported and impacted operations in different types of kitchen settings (restaurant, hotel, and central kitchens). They also commented on how technology and manpower is, and could further be complemented in their workplace. This helps to enlighten the audience from the speakers' perspectives and create meaningful conversations even after the seminar, as attendees exchange their thoughts on this topic.

A caterer's thoughts on the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) scheme

We were interviewed by the Berita Harian paper regarding the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) scheme. The government has accepted the Tripartite Cluster for Food Services (TCF) industry recommendations on the PWM, which would see 41,000 Singaporean workers and permanent residents in the food service sector expecting a 19 percent increase in salary over a three-year period between 2023 and 2025. We are honoured to be able to share our views regarding this, that we are happy to welcome this movement as this will boost the productivity and morale of the workforce while addressing the manpower shortage issues. While we are definitely in line with the government's initiative, as a business, we will also continue to strive to balance the increasing costs. Credits: Berita Harian.

We've gone above and beyond SFA's mandatory Food Safety Management System FSMS requirements. For subsidiary brands like Team Catering, Le Rainbow Catering, Levender Gourmet & Sugared Bakes, we are ISO 22000 certified. For our latest brand, Levender Gourmet Collective, we are certified FSSC 22000.

Using this internationally recognised standard of food safety, we can protect all our customers against food safety hazards anywhere along our food chain.
