High Tech Aquaponics Farming
Concept

Frux Earth Pte Ltd is a joint venture between Kitchen Haus Group & Metro Farm, bringing 2 established firms together to realise the Farm-to-Table concept. We are Singapore’s only commercial Aquaponics Urban Farming company, utilising fish waste and our patent-pending bacteria to produce a sustainable ecosystem of green crops and fresh water fishes.

With our farms covering more than 60,000 sqft of roof top land by end of 2021, we are assisting Singapore to achieve it’s 30 by 30 vision (30% local produce by 2030). A locally produced crops and fishes also reduces our carbon footprint, eliminating long distance transportation and also increases our nation’s food security.

Through our aquaponics farming systems, Frux earth also hopes to educate the public and future generations on the viability of such sustainable farming methods to help save valuable land space and greatly increase the food production levels to sustain the increasing needs of the growing population.

Aquaponics is simply the combination of aquaculture (raising fish) and hydroponics (the soil-less growing of plants) that grows fish and plants together in one integrated system. The fish supply nutrients to the plants that are in a grow bed and the plants clean the water of the nutrients and the water then travels back into the fish tank, thus creating a natural recirculating system.

Aquaponics is a balanced, self-sustainable eco system that works! No chemicals are added or for that matter can be added to the vegetable part of the system as that would cause your fish to die.

At Frux Earth, we recognize these areas of vulnerability :

Price Fluctuation of food imports
Bio hazard threats compromising food safety, food supply and logistics
Conflicts in the region that threaten our food supply
Global warming that reduces food crops in the region

Local production is an important secondary strategy in ensuring food supply resilience for Singapore.
It complements our key strategy of source diversification and ensures a degree of self-sufficiency for key food items such as eggs, fish and leafy vegetables. Locally grown food production will also provide us with a buffer against supply disruptions.
